Welcome to Kearney and Memorial Field. Due to COVID-19, the State of Nebraska and the City of Kearney have restrictions that will need to be followed. Games prior to June 22 will be restricted to HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS of players and coaches only. After June 22, the general public will be allowed in with some restrictions in attendance capacity.
Guidelines for players and coaches
Social distancing guidelines will be maintained in the dugouts. Overflow players can stand or sit behind the dugouts. The dugouts will be sprayed with disinfectant before and after games. Hand sanitizer will be provided in each dugout. Players are responsible for providing their own water for practices and games. Please exit the field promptly after the completion of the game. Kearney coaches will be available to help with any team questions.
Guidelines for fans
All fans are asked to practice social distancing while attending a game at Memorial Field. Please respect the other fans, allowing 6 feet of distance between groups. We are asking visiting fans to sit in the east ¼ of the stadium behind their team’s dugout. The use of stadium seats will be limited, so you may want to consider bringing your own chair or blanket. The concession stand will be open after June 22 with limited items offered this year. No concessions will be available for games prior to June 22.
Please do not congregate in the areas around the ticket booth, bathrooms, or concession stand. The state guidelines stress maintaining social distancing in the concourse area. Players and fans are asked to leave Memorial Field promptly following the conclusion of the game. Also, we ask that you please pick up your trash as you leave. Season tickets will be available at the ticket booth, $20 for adults and $15 for K-12.
We hope, even with these restrictions, your visit to Kearney and Historic Memorial Field is enjoyable. Kearney Legion Baseball and the City Of Kearney Parks Department is doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for baseball players, coaches, and fans at Memorial Field.
Thank you for the cooperation,
KEARNEY LEGION BASEBALL
Be sure to read and understand the guidelines put forth by the City of Kearney and the State of Nebraska. These guidelines will remain in place until the start of games on June 18th. At that point, new guidelines will be posted.
